Bengaline fabric is a great looking, thick-grained taffeta. It is a durable plain weave fabric that is characterised by widthwise cords formed by using fine warp yarns and course weft yarns. Bengaline was first made of silk in Bengal, India. Imagine grosgrain ribbon as a fabric - that is bengaline. The bengalines we use in our designs are produced by a US manufacturer who has been proudly producing them in the USA for over 62 years. We started using bengalines because of its durability and its color vibrancy. You will be able to choose these solid colors for many of our products but they are not available in laminate form so when choosing laminate fabric for your item, note that these will not be one of your choices. We use these fabrics mainly as interiors for our bags, reverse accent fabric for our aprons and reverse sides on our fabric placemats. We also use them for many of our themed lanyards. When a product can use one of these fabrics, we will give you the option to choose it.
